Whimsical Bridal Boutique is owner operated by a dynamic mum-and-daughter team, with an experienced team of Consultants and Seamstresses. We stock a wide range of exquisite, imported Designer gowns and specialize in hiring, which gives every bride the opportunity to wear their dream gown without having to break the bank! Alternatively, you can purchase your own gown and we order it for you.
We are constantly working to keep our collections current and varied so that you have up-to-date gowns to choose. We say that ‘your dream dress will choose you’ and to make sure that this happens, we strive for the best customer service while making the experience fun and relaxed. Happy clients are our most important asset, and we go above and beyond to make this happen.

Our appointments are 2 hours long and in this time the bride can fit gowns of her choice as well as those we would recommend, for her to have the best option possible!

We offer dresses from US2 to a US28.
Can I make an appointment to try on dresses?
Our fittings are by appointment, so head to our Request a fitting page here!
Do you carry plus-size or maternity dresses?
We have a good range of plus size dresses and a few dresses which work for any bride who is expecting.
Do you offer accessories such as veils and jewelry?
We have a large selection of veils and overskirts as well as earrings, hairpieces, garters, boleros, and satin dressing gowns.
Do you offer rental options for dresses?
Yes, all our dresses in-store are available for rental.
Do you offer storage for my dress after purchase?
Yes we do, but we charge a fee to store the dress so it is covered by insurance.
How long until I receive my dress after ordering?
Purchase dresses can take between 4 to 7 months to arrive in South Africa.
Do you offer custom or made-to-measure dresses?
We alter all our hire dresses to fit the bride; the same can be done for a purchased dress. Purchase dresses are ordered as close to the bride’s size as possible.
Do you offer alteration services?
We alter all our hire dresses and are happy to do alterations to a purchase dress or the bride’s dress.
Do you offer a payment plan or financing options?
Our payment plan is a 50% deposit + 25% +25%, so the purchase dress or the hire option is paid over 3 months. Other payment plans can be considered.
Can I bring in my own design for a custom dress?
Yes! Our Dandelion collection designers offer custom designs. You are welcome to bring your ideas and watch them come to life!
Do you have a sample sale or clearance section?
Yes we do. We constantly update our sample sale rail.
